I posted the following in Revenge of the Son of the Bride because I really think that this funny of internet drama deserves to be archived. I'd like to repost it here for greater visibility:

Hey guys, after stumbling across that Alan Clarke quote on rape on FSTDT, I felt compelled to archive his lunacy at Encyclopedia Dramatica. It's only a stub so far, really, but y'all are welcome to come and add the crazier and funnier statements Clarke made.

Or, if you don't want to go to ED, just post them and a link in this thread, and I'll add them.

(WARNING: If you don't know what "/b/" or "4chan" mean, or DO know and know that you want to avoid them, DO NOT go to ED. NSFW. Contains goatse and other shock images (although not on the Alan Clarke page).)

I'm pretty sure you'll find that the slowing down coïncides with the thread falling off the Most Recent list. If PeeZed hadn't linked it in his review, I'd have started to forget about it, too.

It's obvious what's gone wrong. The thread slowed down the minute we stopped talking about a naked Marjanovi´c.

The link to the Science of Watchmen thread is broken, I'm afraid!

thanks; link fixed

When registration was introduced, that also slowed the growth of the thread. Primarily because it kept me out.

Sili, what you tried to type only works on a Czech (!) keyboard. Well, maybe a Polish one, too, but I'm not sure.

That reminded me of Hunter S. Thompson for some reason. Great post.

I don't see why they should affect the Count, however. So they don't.

What? No, they should be mercilessly added to the count. Retroactively. Even Dembski agrees (theologically speaking).

Hi Sven. I'm glad you made reference to the Titanoboa thread for the completists. Us ultracompletists also include the 197 comments in the Titanoboa follow-up, here;

Thanks; good eye, eddie.

Unfortunately there is no explicit (html or even verbal) link between those posts or threads*. You are of course free to play by whatever alternate rules you wish to devise.

*think I'll stick the link in anyway
